Mickey Birthday Party

Yay!! I finallly got my pics to upload. Here are a few from my son's 2nd Birthday party. It was a very small party with just family since we just moved to a new area and don't know a whole lot of people yet. My son enjoyed it though! I kept it simple compared to what I normally do, but since there were really no other kids, I didn't do as much. I think it turned out to be a great party though!
ETA: I have recently started appliqueing for my kids, and I made their shirts. I think they turned out cute!!

Blogger issues

Well, I tried to post the other day, but Blogger wasn't letting me upload pics. I have tried again today and still not working. I will try later to post pics from the Mickey party.

Cartridge: Boys will be Boys

Stamp: Pink By Design-Oh Boy!

My daughter (4 years old) and her friend from where we just move from have been sending each other cards/notes back and forth. She wanted to cut out a snake and send it to him, so this is what we came up with.

Birthday Door Sign

Here is a sign I made for our door for my son's 2nd Birthday Party. I haven't decided if I am going to add ribbon or not to hang it. His party is this weekend, so I will be posting more pics as I get things done, if I can get them done. :) I have been a little under the weather and have had a terrible cold the past week and am finally feeling a little better.

4th of July Layout

Here is another layout I finished the other day. I am SO behind on my scrapbooking, I am trying to keep it simple and get caught up. I am about 1 year behind on my daughter and 2 on my son. Hoping to get caught up soon.

Swim Lessons

My daughter took Swim Lessons back in May, and I decided to try and get some scrapbooking done this week. Here is one double page layout I got done. The picture is not that great. I have got to get better ones. I told my husband a Scrap n Easel would be great. :) I used Elegant Edges, H2O, and Cuttin' Up cartridges. Thanks for looking.

Challenge at Birthday Sundaes

The challenge this week at Birthday Sundaes is "Cakes and Cupcakes Birthday Cards". I made this card today for a friend and thought I would enter this challenge. I used the Just Because Cards and Sweet Treats cricut cartridges. Paper is DCWV.

Sorry this is such a bad picture. The lighting is terrible and I didn't have my nicer camera handy today.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

I decided to take part in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge this week. The challenge was to create a project with a melon (or other fruit) on it. I did a card with a watermelon. I am not too happy with the stamp I used, but I didn't have one to fit with this other than that one. I used the Divine Swirls cuttlebug folder on the melon.

I have had the Paisley cricut cartridge for a while, but have not used it very much. I am a new follower over at Kimberli's Creations and am entering her challenge. Her challenge is to make a project using a Cricut cartridge that you have barely used.

**ETA: Here is Kimberli's link if you want to enter the challenge as well: http://kimberliscreations.blogspot.com/2011/07/help-me-get-to-100-followers-challenge.html

Mickey Mouse Invites

I have never used my Mickey and Friends cartridge that I have had for a while and thought I would give it a go. My son turns 2 next month, so I thought it would be cute to do a Mickey theme. So, I made his invites and got them sent out yesterday. Here is what I ended up doing. I "scrap-lifted" the idea from TX Scrapper Mom. I thought these were super cute. I am still working on decorations and will post pics of those as I go. I have a little "helper" (my 4 year old daughter), so it is taking a bit longer. :)

I Miss You Card

Cricut Cartridge: Hello Kitty Greetings

Stamp: My Pink Stamper "Fabulous Phrases"
We just moved to a new city and state a few months ago, and my daughter (who is 4), wanted to send her best friend from where we moved from a card. So, here is what she picked out, colors and all. She also likes to do the stamping on her own. I think it looks cute, and her friend LOVED it. :)

A few cards..

These are a few cards I made a few weeks ago and sent for Operation Write Home. They are very simple and not too fancy. I usually like to add some bling to my cards, but was not able to for these. I think they turned out ok. Not my favorites, but I am ok with them. :)

My new Craft Room

Well, I have always dreamed of having my own crafting space. When my husband took a new job in a new state, and we had to go house hunting, I told him that I would love to find a house big enough to have my own space. Well, I got what I asked for!! I feel so blessed that we were able to find such a nice home within our budget. It is great, and we have been in our house for a little over 2 weeks now. Thanks for looking!! There are still pictures, shelves, etc. to be hung, but I can at least craft for now. There are also a few things (organizational wise) that I will change soon, but this is fine for now. :)

Pics of my Bind it All projects

Here are a few pics of my notepads that I made using my Bind it All last night. I took a better one of the one I posted last night. As I said, they are simple, but I like how they turned out. :) I am hoping to do some more detailed ones soon!

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Finally a project :)

I have finally gotten some of my crafting things unpacked and wanted to try out my Bind it All. I got it about a month or so ago, and haven't had a chance to use it. I made 2 notepads tonight (I will add the other tomorrow when I can use my better camera). They are fairly simple, but I like the way they turned out. I plan on trying to finish unpacking the rest of my craft stuff over the weekend so I can get busy crafting again. :)

Kids Can Craft Blog Hop Challenge

My daughter (almost 4 years old) loves to craft with me, and today she wanted to make her Uncle (my brother) a Get Well card b/c he has been sick this week. So, she picked out her colors and she wanted to do a Whale and use My Pink Stamper's stamp "Get Whale Soon". She stamped it with a Peachy Keen face of her choosing :), and then wrote inside and added stickers. She loves to craft!

I decided to enter her into the challenge here: http://cardsbycg.blogspot.com/2011/02/kids-craft-blog-hop.html

Altered Mailbox for Creative Cutter Room Challenge

Here is another mailbox I just finished up for my daughter to give to one of her friends. I used the dinosaur for Boys will be Boys and MPS Punnylicious stamp. I have a few more to finish and then I will be done. I have entered this one into the Creative Cutter Room Challenge. It isn't your traditional "hearts" and "red" for Valentine's Day, but for a boy I thought this turned out cute. :)

Altered Mailboxes

I bought some mailboxes last week in the dollar spot at Target and decided after seeing a few challenges, that I would alter a few for my kids and a few of their friends. Here is one that I did for my daughter and filled with goodies for Valentine's Day. I am thinking about putting her name on the heart, but haven't totally decided yet. I have entered it in Crafting with Cristina's challenge of a Valentine themed project (as long as it is not a card), as well as My Pink Stamper's challenge for something that makes you happy.

Fantabulous Cricut's Cricut Crawl

Here is a Valentine's Card I made, with the help of my daughter, for her grandmother. It was made using the Paisley cartridge with the card function feature. Very simple card, but my daughter was pleased with the outcome. (It had to be pretty simple for a 3 year old's attention span.) :)
